Privacy Policy

chillprep is a household meal planning app. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and how you can delete it. We wrote it in plain language on purpose.

What we collect

• Account information: your email address and password. Your password is never stored in plain text — only a one-way hash is kept.
• Content you create: recipes, meal plans, grocery lists, and household membership — the things you add to plan meals with your household.

That's the complete list. chillprep does not use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or tracking software, and it has no third-party sign-in or in-app purchases. We don't collect location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers.

Why we collect it

Your email and password are used only to sign you in. The recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists you create are used only to run the app's core features, and to share them with the household(s) you're a member of.

Household sharing

When you join a household, the other members of that household can see the recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists shared within it, and that you are a member. Households don't see each other's data.

Who else sees it

chillprep runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which hosts the app and its database. Verification and account emails are sent through Amazon SES from no-reply@chillprepapp.com. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and content for as long as your account exists. If you're the sole member of a household, deleting your account deletes that household's data too.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account at any time from the app: open Profile → Delete account and confirm with your password. This is a real, immediate deletion — not a deactivation. It removes your account, your sessions, and your household data (if you're the sole member). If you're one of several members in a shared household, the household continues for the remaining members and ownership transfers automatically.

If you'd rather not use the app to do this, email support@chillprepapp.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

Children

chillprep is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
